T his Initiative represents a collaborative effort between local conservation advocates, the Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) and its charitable arm, the Texas Wildlife Association Foundation (TWAF). Recognizing that societal health hinges on clean air, clean and abundant water, and healthy landscapes that produce food, fiber, and wildlife, the spirit behind this Initiative is to help ensure that progressive natural resource education efforts are being delivered that address a widening
and concerning disconnect between people and our natural environment.

The initiative will fund a full-time conservation educator, bringing engaging,
science-based programs directly to our schools and community centers. TWA’s
proven track record, with their successful Conservation Legacy education
programs reaching millions of Texans, ensures impactful learning experiences.
